Morgan Stanley之七次 interview, IT 篇

有個朋友大學畢業後, 做電腦程式員, 得到經驗後隨即轉戰凱基證券集團的IT部門, 薪酬固然大升,(接近兩萬)身價亦非凡。很多人去到這一步可能就已經心滿意足, 但他得到凱基的經驗後又選擇跳去不少大學生的終極目標: Morgan Stanley Assembly. 他抱著姑且一試的心態去 in, 誰知竟然給他過關斬將, in 了四次後 Final In, 所謂 Final In 後竟然還有一次Fin-Final In, 一次見三個主管, 最後又來一次Fin-Fin Final Interview, 見埋HR, 去到這地步機會就極大了。個HR 同佢講" Although you have so many interviews, you will probably get the job" 他又加多句:" it worths"。那就幾乎100%了。
希望佢入到, 再介紹我入去啦, 如果我被請, 佢都可以得一個月extra salary 呀!!

通過這個故事, 我有發現:
1). 同類型、同規模的公司的 selection process 是變態的、嚴謹的....先筆試..再來N 次 interview...
聽說Morgan Stanley的 IT 部門唔夠人, 故「只」得七次 interview...如果唔係....
2.) 讀IT都可以好有前途, 因為無公司係唔需要 IT, 阿銘努力吧(我那位朋友 港大second Up hon 畢 業, 不過一直接觸金融資訊)
3.) 出面的世界就係咁恐怖..故我要enjoy 自己的英文, 和 international horizon..business senses .........等佢介紹我時可以安全過度至少七個 interview.....
4.) 要懂得把握機會, 勇於嘗試, 不要安於現狀

要入呢D大公司勁ge personal qualities最重要! 專業能力次之, 雖然都好重要...

我淨求想做小職員, 搵兩餐ja...

TO Ken Leung:
I do agree with you.
I also want to improve my personal qualities, such as inter-personal communication skills, adaptability..
I know that u dun have any ambition, but searching for a better life is a normal thing for everybody. And you should have more confidence on yourself.

To Chan:
我個朋友的職好像是負責維持 the stability of the computer system of Morgan Stanley.不過因他對金融有認識所以加 Bouns 吧。而且Morgan Stanley仲急著請....讀IT 可以好有前途
一般讀商科的人想入去睇怕仲難
